The students at Our Lady of Lady of Lourdes School in West Islip are learning the fundamentals of coding and programming as they interact with their “Dash” robot. This miniature robot, used in conjunction with a variety of apps on an iPad, teaches students as young as age three the basic building blocks of html. The apps are picture-based for pre-readers and involve exploring variables, conditionals, and more for older students. This STEM activity encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence while enhancing logic and math skills. The students at Our Lady of Lourdes School are learning while having fun!
