During the season of Advent, students from St. Anne's School in Garden City will participate in service projects.  Each grade has chosen a unique project to perform.

K-1:  Christmas Caroling  - The kindergarten and first grade students, along with their families, caroled at the homes of our seniors and home-bound parishioners on Sunday, December 13th.

2nd Grade: Letter Writing – The second grade students will be writing Christmas messages to be mailed to the senior and homebound parishioners of Saint Anne’s. (Thanksgiving cards were mailed in November.)

3rd Grade: The Nativity – The third grade will be performing the Nativity for the seniors at the Senior Scene Christmas gathering on December 16.

4th and 5th Grade:  Christmas Sponsor a Family  Each class sponsored a named family from Wyandanch for Christmas.  They provided food for a dinner and gifts for each family member.  The delivery to Wyandanch was on Decemebr 12th.  (They sponsored the same families for Thanksgiving.)

6th and 7th Grade: Support Out Troops – Students filled 120 Christmas stockings for soldiers that also contained a handwritten Christmas message.  Eight large cartons were mailed to soldiers overseas.

8th Grade: Share a Meal and Handcrafting for Justice  - The eighth graders continue to cook for parishioners once a month.  Each meal is delivered by an eighth grade student.  Students write letters to those receiving the meals.   During the weekend of November 21st, after each mass, eighth grade students helped set up, sell and pack items brought and sold by Handcrafting Justice.
