St. Edward's Students Create Gingerbread Houses Using STEM
Posted on 01/14/2016
The Children in 5th through 8th grade at St. Edward the Confessor School participated in an exciting STEM project during the month of December, which culminated in a demonstration of how well they could design a gingerbread house that could withstand elements. The gingerbread houses had to be able to deal with high winds, flooding, and earthquake type conditions. The children not only designed the structures, but had to explain both verbally and in writing how they designed the structure and how they used Math, Science, and technology principles to build the house.
