Posted on 01/19/2017
Throughout the month of January, schools throughout the Diocese of Rockville Centre are celebrating St. Agnes, patroness of the Diocese. Elementary and high schools dedicated time to learning about and praying to St. Agnes on Wednesday, January 11. High school students viewed an interview with Bishop Murphy during which students were able to question the Bishop about St. Agnes. Activities in the elementary schools included praying a decade of the Rosary, making "little lamb" prayer card holders, saying a special prayer to St. Agnes, participating in a liturgy or prayer service, and participating special lessons about St. Agnes. All students received a St. Agnes prayer card. Students throughout the Diocese will join Bishop Murphy at St. Agnes Cathedral for the 5 PM Mass on Saturday, January 21, the Feast of St. Agnes.
