Sisters of Life Visit McGann-Mercy
Posted on 05/10/2017

McGann-Mercy High School was blessed with a visit from the Sisters of Life on Friday, May 5.  Three Sisters from the New York based order spoke to all seniors in their religious studies class, which focuses on vocation and mission, and to several other religious studies classes as well.  During their visit, the Sisters spoke of the history of their order, founded by His Eminence, the late John Cardinal O’Connor, in 1991.  They also discussed their common life as vowed religious, their charism to protect and enhance the sacredness of every human life, and entertained questions from the students.  The Sisters also took time for contemplative prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the Catherine McAuley Chapel, visited with students in the Monarch Cafeteria during the junior and senior lunch period, and greeted faculty and staff throughout the day.
