Holy Trinity DHS Celebrates Constitution Day

Holy Trinity DHS Celebrates Constitution Day
Posted on 09/18/2017

On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history: the United States Constitution.  This document established the framework of our government and the rights and freedoms that “We the People” enjoy today.  On Monday, September 18, 2017, the Social Studies Department at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in Hicksville will celebrate Constitution Day in all of its classes.  In Mrs. Picatagi’s Advanced Placement and regular Government classes, students will take part in a Constitution Scavenger Hunt, identifying and discussing key parts of the document.  The AP Government students will also be given a pocket constitution as they begin an in-depth study of our nation’s constitutional underpinnings.
