Our Lady of Providence Graduate Chosen to Teach Coding as Part of NYIT Program
Posted on 11/13/2017

One of Our Lady Providence Regional School’s June graduates, now attending St. John the Baptist High School, has excelled at coding. During her 8th grade year, the student was chosen to participate in the New York Institute of Technology STEM program.  The program was held at Our Lady of Providence and was run by one of the school’s teachers and an NYIT teacher.  This student really excelled, especially at game coding.  The NYIT coordinator of the program informed the school principal that the graduate was asked to teach game coding to younger students this year.  She will be under the direction of one of the NYIT teachers but will teach the class herself.  She will be the youngest "teacher" they've had.
